I'm in the market for a good quality and generously sized marble pastry board to give as a gift to a fellow cook. The gift would be most meaningful (and hence I'd prefer) if the marble were carrara marble, and by generously sized I mean more than the 18" by 18" that seems to be a common size in kitchen supply stores. Do need to mention that I don't want this to break the bank, either? Maybe in the $100 range (am I nuts here?). I've been looking online, figuring I'd have the best luck, pricewise, by buying a suitable piece that was not specifically being marketed as a hooty-tooty kitchen product, but googling it is proving baffling. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
